C & M A Child Protection Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions (CW/S/I3)
The Social Welfare Department selected this organisation to participate in the "Pilot Scheme on Social Work Services for Pre-primary Institutions" from 2020 to 2024, providing school-based social work services to 8 kindergartens/nursery schools. Through casework and group work, support is offered to pre-primary children and families in need, enhancing their problem-solving capabilities, strengthening parental roles and functions, and promoting positive and healthy psychological development. Until 2024, the Social Welfare Department will fully implement the district-based "Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions", and our organisation has successfully bid and been assigned to provide school-based social work services in the Hong Kong Southern District, starting August 1, 2024. The service team is named "C & M A Child Protection Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions".

Service Objectives:

• Early identification and provision of assistance to pre-primary children and their families who have welfare needs.
• Assist young children who experience educational, social, behavioral and emotional difficulties.
• Assist parents with needs in improving their parenting skills and family relationships to foster harmony in their family.

Professional Team

• Experienced in school-based services.
• Completed courses in play therapy/family therapy.
• Familiarity with the needs of supporting children with SEN and their parents.
